About Me
Addison Schmidt is a writer, journalist, and public relations fanatic. She is currently enrolled at Boston University, studying public relations, journalism and business administration.
Addison is the opinion editor for The Daily Free Press, Boston University's Independent student newspaper, as well as a columnist, reporting on the intersection between culture, entertainment, and mental health. She is a rock journalist for The BU Buzz, Boston University's student lifestyle magazine, reporting on classic rock and popular music. She is also the local politics editor and a social and business news writer for The Boston Political Review, as well as a features writer for Boston University's College of Fine Arts. Additionally, she is a staff writer for The Boston University Review, BU's only student run literary magazine. Her work has appeared in the Boston Globe, the Kitchen Table Quarterly, The Review, and other publications.

Addison Schmidt is originally from New Mexico, but has spent the majority of her life in a picturesque town with a red mill in New Jersey. She is an avid record collector, Nora Ephron enthusiast, baker, and runner, as well as many, many other miscellaneous things.

Team captain of the women's varsity cross country and track teams, scholar athlete, four-year varsity athlete winner. Member of the varsity swim team. Student ambassador.
